Product Marketing Manager


Cavallo is on a mission to make distribution operations radically better, and we are seeking an experienced Product Marketing Manager to help guide us to that goal. The Product Marketing Manager will utilize their knowledge of the market and current/prospective customers to create and manage the product positioning and messaging that resonates with our target audience. The Product Marketing Manager will be able to translate product features and functionality from Product Development into benefit-based content that will appeal to and be understood by all audiences. They will work to better educate prospects, customers, and partners on Cavallo’s products to drive business growth, effectively preparing the “what we need to say” messaging outline so other marketing team members can successfully develop and communicate the “how we say it” portion.


A typical day would include:

  • Providing product positioning and messaging that presents our product’s value proposition in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we create value for our customers;

  • Conducting market intelligence to determine user and buyer personas, purchase motivators, competitive landscape intelligence, and use case scenarios;

  • Developing innovative campaigns that drive product adoption, demand generation, and supports the retention of existing customers and the acquisition of new customers;

  • Assessing the effectiveness of the marketing campaigns on an ongoing basis, and reporting back to the business on required changes;

  • Working closely with both the Product and Marketing Teams to create relevant content - case studies (written and video), marketing videos, blog posts, fact sheets, product cards, webinars, etc.


This may be the job for you if:

  • You have earned a BS/MS degree in marketing or a related field;

  • You have 5+ Years of Product Marketing experience;

  • You possess a track record of successfully working with both creatives and technical product resources;

  • You have superior communication skills, both written and verbal;

  • You possess strong organizational, relationship and project management skills;

  • You have a solid knowledge of software tools and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in marketing;

  • You are a stellar critical thinker and creative problem solver;

  • You are detail oriented and possess a strong sense of personal ownership;
